Eben-Ezer

stone of the help

Then Samuel took a stone and set it up betweeen Mizpah and Shen and called its name Ebenezer, for he said: "Till now the Lord had helped us." (ESV)

1. Sam. 7,12

After times of challenges and forfaitures we had the impression to act like Samuel did: so we went to find a rock on the right side of the river Rhine and painted this rock golden to mark it as a sign of Gods Gory.

"Prophetic act ... requires action that by appearance has no connection to desired outcome. The act is seemingly unrelated. The strength of the prophetic act is, that it comes from the heart of the father. It is a prophetic act of obedience that has a logic outside human reasoning."
(Bill Johnson, senior pastor Bethel church Redding/California in: Hosting the presence, 164-165)
